Covid-19 Extra Precautions

Due to the growing concerns around COVID-19 the Licata Bankruptcy Firm in Springfield Missouri will be taking all necessary precautions. With the majority of our area under a “stay at home order” and the CDC still strongly recommending social distancing we have implemented measures to allow our clients and potential clients full access to our firm without risking the safety of our staff, our clients, and our community.

We value our clients’ health as well as the health of our employees and their families. Our firm will continue to provide our clients with the best possible service. We will continue to be available by phone at 417-887-3328 and via email at throughout the upcoming weeks.

Although we believe the best way to start a professional relationship is by meeting in-person, from March 30, 2020 through April 10, 2020 we will conduct all appointments remotely. Our Springfield, Missouri office will remain staffed at this time. Our office is available to conduct appointments via telephone, Facetime, or Facebook video. We have implemented procedures to use email and DocuSign to assist clients.

We encourage existing clients to send necessary documents in PDF form to our office via email at There are many smart phone applications that will allow you to convert pictures to PDF documents. Genius Scan is a free application both Android and Apple users can install on their phones to create PDF documents. You may fax documents to our office at 417-887-8091.

We are having an office drop box installed and you can leave documentation, payments, tax returns etc. in the locked drop box at any hour of the day. Please call to verify it is installed as we are hoping to have it installed in the very near future.

If you are an existing client and you need to drop off documents or make a payment at our office, please call when you arrive and somebody will come to your vehicle to get your documents. In order to limit exposure to our clients, our front door will be locked, even while we are in the office.

If you would like to make a payment on an existing case, we have multiple options for you to pay. We are taking payments over the phone or via our website. You may also mail payment to our office at 1442 E Bradford Parkway Springfield, MO 65804.

If you are an existing Chapter 13 client concerned about making your payment to the trustee, we understand your concern. Our office will do everything we can to ensure that you are able to stay in your Chapter 13 case. At this point we do not have any additional information about how the Trustee’s office intends on handling delinquent payments. We will keep you up to date with any additional information we receive.

As things progress, we will continue to communicate with our clients and potential clients through our social media accounts. We are taking our instruction from the CDC and our federal, state, and local governments. Please be patient as we all work through this together and rest assured we will be monitoring all current cases and attending to any immediate needs as necessary.
